How Did You Get Started?

I began 'lifting' in 1984...not too many girls were in the weight room back then! I am #13th of 14 siblings and grew up as a 'tomboy'. I played a variety of sports in Junior High/High School.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I change up my plan depending on the time of year and type of competition I'm preparing for. Currently I am training for the 2004 Women's Tri-Fitness Challenge in Las Vegas. This requires a different focus than when I'm practicing my fitness routine.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I love food and I eat fairly clean all year around. I always eat chicken, tuna, lean beef, eggs, oatmeal, broccoli, salad, apples and almonds. I like to use Udo's Flax Oil in my protein shakes. I don't measure my food in the off-season and I have stray-meals/treats on the weekends! Once I'm 7 weeks out...it's hardcore all the way!

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I love Whey Protein! I never forget to take a daily Multi-Vitamin. I have just started to use Glutamine and it seems to be helping with my recovery/immune system.

Why Do You Love Fitness?

It's empowering and I love the way it makes me look as well as feel. It keeps me healthy, happy and makes me a better daughter, wife, sister, mother and teacher!

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I'm so excited about training as an Athlete. The obstacle course will be an awesome challenge indeed. I plan on trying out as many different 'Organizations/Federations/Events/Competitions as possible.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?

It's been said that "You can't control the wind... only the direction of your sails." You only have one time around. Remember to enjoy the journey!
