How Did You Get Started?
I started competing in fitness 4 years ago. I have always been very active. I started dance and gymnastics when I was 3 years old. After having my daughter, I started teaching gymnastics. I have been teaching for 10 years. I started working out really hard about 5 years ago. I could not believe that I could manipulate the way my body looks, with just diet and exercise. After my first competition, I became addicted to competing. I found it as a way of keeping my body in shape. My first competition was just for fun, not knowing it would change my life and my family's life forever. I have my cheat meals and I don't eat real clean when I am not preparing for a competition, but it has changed the way I see myself, as well as others, and has given me a new perspective on life. Not only do I want to live a long healthy life, but I want to look good doing it! To learn more visit my web site: www.brandibuffkin.com. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Cardio: 4-5 days a week, 30 min. per session (off season) What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You? For competition prep. I eat a high protein, low carb, & low fat diet. During my off season, I eat whatever I want. I LOVE FOOD!! I have a 12 year old daughter that likes to eat ice cream, brownies, junk food, etc... So, when I am not dieting, her and I have special treats. I am very lucky to be able to do this. I have a high metabolism and good genetics. What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains? Protein shakes. Why Do You Love Fitness? I love to perform and I love to compete. I have always been on a stage somewhere. Fitness was just the next step in my life. Now it has changed my life forever. I love the adrenaline rush right before going on stage! It is awesome! What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
In 2007 I will be competing at the Jr. USA's, Jr. Nationals, and Team Universe. I would love to get a pro card, but right now I am just happy to be competing. What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors? Never give up!! If competing is what you want to do, then do it!! Just be happy with your accomplishments and don't let anyone bring you down. You are only as good, as you let yourself be! If you want it bad enough, you will achieve it! Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?
I have always admired Monica Brant. I feel that she has the best physique in the NPC. I love Jen Hendershott's routines.
