How Did You Get Started?
I had reached a plateau with my workouts and needed some guidance so I hired a personal trainer (Scott Mabry). We started working together and I noticed a change in my physique immediately! Scott suggested that I train for my first show and just see what happens. I had my first show in April of 06 and won the whole thing! Ever since then I have been going strong improving every year and just trying to stay on top of my game.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I never lift heavy but I make every rep count, and I also do 40-60 minutes of cardio with my workouts.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
I would have to say very low carb and lots of asparagus always does the trick for me. My trainer usually changes up my diet every 3-4 weeks. I have a stomach condition called Ulcerative Colitis so it makes dieting a little tricky for me. Breakfast:

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Why Do You Love Fitness?
That fact that it has changed my life for the better; physically and mentally, you name it. If I hadn't changed my diet and supplement regimen I would still be on medication for my Ulcerative Colitis to this day! I also enjoy meeting and connecting with people at shows and expos that share the same love for this lifestyle that I do. What's not to love?
I love training because of the sense of accomplishment I feel after reaching a goal. I want to always continue to improve myself as a person on various levels: physically, mentally, and socially. Weight training allows me to sculpt my body and improve my physique, confidence, and overall health. Train smarter, not harder. I am an extremist, and I often want to push myself to the ultimate limit. That isn't always the best thing for the body. I need to remember that rest and recovery are just as important as having great workouts. It is hard for me in the off season to relax, when I take that week off after a show it is definitely a struggle to get back to the gym but when I am there I go to work for sure.
Words to live by: My trainer is definitely my motivation he is always saying things like "It's time to go to work" "Don't let no body out work you" and my all time favorite "There is always someone waiting to take your spot" and that is so true in this industry there is always another girl right on your heals you have to make the best of each workout and bring everything you got to the show. If you don't get that first place spot your first time out don't stop. Work harder. Keep reaching for the stars. Everything comes in due time.
Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?
Hands down Gina Aliotti. She is the total package and always looks relaxed on stage. And the woman that I look up to and always gives me encouraging words, Jamie Eason. Every since I saw her first magazine cover I knew this is what I wanted to do.
