How Did You Get Started?

In high school, I was a chubby little computer nerd with a pot belly, narrow shoulders, and crooked glasses to boot. I got picked on by the 'cool' kids and didn't get a lot of dates. So I started lifting weights and soon transformed myself into a muscular computer nerd!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

A good periodization program is what works for me - I lessen the weight I use and do more sets/reps, then work my way back up to, and past where I once was. Then I lessen the weight again and repeat the process. The only thing I really vary is my training split. Here is my current schedule: Tuesday - chest, back, abs; Friday - arms, shoulders, legs. Sometimes I split this into 4 days. When training for definition, I just lift to get pumped up and concentrate more on diet, cardio, and working on my tan.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I take a multivitamin, vitamin C, chromium, and a whey-protein shake in the morning, a carbohydrate drink with glucose polymers and fructose before my workouts, and whey protein in the evening and post-workout. I have also had good results with creatine, though I use it sparingly.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding gives me results that I, and others can see first-hand. There's no better feeling than when people praise you for your hard work. And it feels even better when you're natural, like me. Other than that, it's a great way to work off work-related stress, and to meet interesting people.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan to get back into competition next year, with a little more size and definition and a phenomenal posing routine.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

The key to growth is nutrition, rest, and injury prevention; listen to your body and do what common sense dictates.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Lee Labrada, since he's about my height and has the type of physique I hope to one day attain.
