How Did You Get Started?

I was extremely overweight as a youth and it followed me as a teen. My arms and underarms would rub together creating a rash and my stomach was a miniature resting table for my arms. I got tired of being "big boned/husky/healthy," and chose to start improving my body. The problem was mis-education. I lost weight, but didn't obtain the results desired. I fluctuated back and forth. Finally, I did my own research and came up with a routine suited for me.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

High intensity aerobics in the morning three to four times a week, followed by high intensity anaerobics 3-4 times a week. I try to work till failure and get an intense burn.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Metaphorm as a meal replacement along with Ripped Fuel and Creatine created a great combination for me. I haven't tried any of the hormone stimulants because of what Arnold Schwarzenegger's Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding said about it (in reference to pre-development). But I do plan to experiment with some once my body matures.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Most of my decisions are made during/after exercise (everything from choosing abstinence to what college course I should take next). Exerting my body allows me to focus my mind on making principle centered decisions based on my morals/values. When adversity strikes, it's an invaluable outlet. It also gives me time to analyze my life - making sure I'm going in the right direction. But most important (during stretching/cool down), I can thank God for all he has blessed me with - the things I usually take for granted and neglect. So why do I love it? It's an attribute to life physically, mentally and spiritually.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I have so much room for improvement. So I plan to train hard and pursue further education in Bodybuilding. I may compete when I'm worthy to step on the stage (which will take several more years of hard training), but anything worth while requires patience. I have much on my calendar at the moment, so I'm trying to maintain and slowly improve moving towards my goals.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Be loyal to yourself! You are responsible for your actions/re-actions/ and emotions. People say life is too short, so act like it and take advantage of the day; for we were never promised tomorrow. Train hard/work hard/ study hard/play hard and most important pray hard. As my brother in Christ, trainer and best friend Chuck Gale always says, "No excuses... No regrets!" Take care of that body/mind and it will take care of you... Good luck and God Bless!
