How Did You Get Started?

I wanted to build some mass and strength for my school's Rugby team; after about 12 months I had went from 160lbs to 200+lbs. I had been getting advice from my bodybuilding cousin who suggested I should try a competition. I read all I could about bodybuilding and placed 2nd in the novice class in the Natural NYC on July 24th, 2004.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Working opposite muscles together (Bi’s/Tri’s, Pecs/Back) pushing myself to my body's ultimate limit every set. It’s important to have a workout partner, one that will really help push yourselves.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

5 meals per day, 1g protein/lb bodyweight, 1.5 g carbs/lb bodyweight, .5 g fat/lb bodyweight each day and I play with the carbs depending on how I feel each day.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Whey Protein is great, and I have tried Creatine and Glutamine, but you can do just fine with real food so I don't focus on the supplements.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

It is the ultimate sport, it’s so unique because building your body requires constant attention; everything you eat and drink, your sleep, your mood, etc. It drives me to see how far I can take my own body. There is a certain mentality that goes with bodybuilding that I have found can be applied to many things in life: if you really want something you must do everything you can to get it, and if you are not willing to give 100%, you must not have really wanted it that badly.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I want to build more mass through my next two semesters at school and compete in June 2005 and through the Summer.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Give everything you have all the time. That way you have no excuses.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Frank Zane, and Tom Platz are the greats.
