How Did You Get Started?
I started in high school mainly because I loved sports, but was too shy to get involved. I started lifting in high school and loved that this was a sport that I could do on my own. After a month or so I joined a gym. I saw results almost immediately as far as physique, strength, and self esteem. I was hooked and have worked out faithfully ever since.
My senior year in high school I did my first bodybuilding competition and continued that for a few more years. I continued to work out, but decided to switch to figure competition after having my daughter 5 years ago.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I do a four day split with a cardio day in between. I stay between 8-12 reps per body part with a warm-up set and 3 more to follow.

Why Do You Love Fitness?
I love the way I feel, look and I like being strong. You get so much more out of it than just the workouts; more confidence, better posture, eat, sleep and play better. Being healthy simply allows for a better quality of life!
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I will compete in a figure contest in Alaska on March 7th. I plan to compete in a couple local shows in Boise and also would like to travel to compete. I tend to just focus on one show at a time so it is hard for me to see beyond that right now.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?
Remember that being fit and healthy is a trophy you get to wear and feel good about everyday regardless of how you do on stage, but while you are on stage be proud and shine!
Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?
Oh that is a tough one because there are so many that I think are amazing. Monica Brant and Cory Everson have always been favorites and I can't forget my good friend Nikki Crawford who got me started doing this in the first place. She is a beautiful person inside and out.
