How Did You Get Started?
I started competing at the end of 2007 after being around many friends who were involved in the sport. It was pretty amazing to see their dedication and how their body was transformed so drastically within the months leading up to their show. After watching a show, I was hooked, from that point on I knew it was something I wanted to do.

Why Do You Love Fitness?
I have always loved fitness. I love being active and on the go. I can always turn my day around by going to the gym. In school I was a cheerleader, ran track and took dance for many years. I coach competition cheerleading, this is my 7th year. I love the competition side of any sport. The way competing makes you feel is like no other.
What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?
The way being healthy makes me feel is motivation enough. I feel so much better after a good workout and always feel more energized and alert when I eat healthy vs. eating junk food.
What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?
Each time I compete I seem to learn new things and look better. It is so great to see a different improvement each time and makes me want to work harder each time so I place even better at each show.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I have just started training again and am looking forward to my 2nd nationals show, Team Universe. I hope to learn a lot, meet a lot of new friends and place really well!
What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?
I would tell others who are interested in competing to go for it! You can do it, if you set your mind to it! You will form great friendships and meet so many people who are willing to help guide you along the way.
