How Did You Get Started?

As a personal trainer and an ex-National level gymnast, I have worked out for as long as I can remember. My love of weight training really drove me to want to see specific physical results. I got to a point where I practically lived in the gym, so I thought it would be great to set a new goal and try competing in Figure.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I work out 6 days a week; generally a 30-40 minute morning cardio session of incline walking, running or biking paired with a strength training regimen later in the day. I like split training and tend to work on one or two body parts per session. I train my abs 3-4 times a week.

My sets are generally around 3-4 with 10-15 reps depending on the exercise.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Optimum Whey Protein

Eating clean and small meals 6 times daily!

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

ON Whey and Glutamine.

Why Do You Love Fitness?

I love being able to see the fruits of your labor. You make it what it is. I love the feeling of being completely fatigued! I like to push myself really hard and see how far I can take it! Fitness is a wonderful outlet to let out steam, relax and become one with a mind, body and spirit connection.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I will try Figure for a bit longer, but may try Fitness too depending on how much my body wants to support me. As an ex-gymnast, I am injury plagued and have had a spinal fusion of 9 vertebrae, so we'll have to see how much my body cooperates.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?

Train hard and when you compete, do it for you! You learn so much from competition to competition, so I would just say to soak it all in and you will ultimately become a better competitor with time.
