How Did You Get Started?

I started weight training as a high school student to increase my strength and stamina for football. I quickly became one of the strongest guys in the weight room. I earned a track scholarship to college and continued weight training throughout my scholastic career. After college I joined the work force and staying in shape became less of a priority to me. Several years went by and my body eventually went from chiseled to flabby. It took the heckling of my brother in law to make me realize that I was no longer in shape. I took up biking and eventually the fat disappeared. Next I did alot of research on nutrition and formulated a diet that kept the fat off and encouraged lean muscle mass. Finally I hit the weights hard! The results are what you see in these photos.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I found that working an individual bodypart each day works best for me. My workout schedule is as follows:

Mon- Shoulders
Tues- Abs and legs
Wed- Arms
Thurs- Abs and lats
Fri- Chest
Sat- Heavy squats + dead lifts and calves

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Whey protein and amino acids have really helped me to pack on mass. Creatine has also helped to increase my strength and endurance. I cycle on and off creatine every 6 weeks.

Why Do You Love Bodybuilding?

Because Bodybuilding is the only sport where age is truly just a number. Most athletes have retired from their respective sports by the time they reach 37 years of age. I'm just getting started at 37.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

This year I plan to compete in the 2000 NPC Nationals as well as the 2000 Musclemania World Championships. My ultimate goal is to compete as a Bodybuilder in the 2004 Olympics.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

To take your time and do it right. Don't take the steroid shortcut and end up with health problems later in life.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Frank Zane, Lee Haney and Shawn Ray.
