How Did You Get Started?
Back when I was in grade 10, one of my friends moved to another city. I didn't
get to see him again for another 3 years. Then, we met again in college, he was
twice the size I had remembered. I was totally shocked and told him I wanted to
be like him. He told me that he needed a training partner, so he took me out to
the gym for my first workout. I got addicted right away.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I train 6 times a week. Each body part once and I use the sixth day for lacking
body parts.
My training split:
I use a lot of drop-sets, they really help to put on some size. I keep my reps
around 8 to 10 with 4 sets for each exercise. I always do main compound
exercises like squats, deadlifts, Press and rows.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
Best meal plan so far was: 4700 cals/day in six meals divided into 15% fat, 35% protein and 50% carbs.
Sample Meal Plan:
Meal 1: 1.5 cup oatmeal
1 banana
1 cup skim milk
1 serving whey protein
GYM
Meal 2: 1.5 cup 1% milk
2 serving whey protein
1 fruit (apple or banana)
Meal 3: 4 slices whole wheat bread
14 oz turkey breast
2 tbsp. low fat mayo
Lettuce and tomatoes
Meal 4: 2 cup brown rice
16 egg whites
2 tbsp. Salsa
Meal 5: 9 oz chicken breast
2 cup potatoes (boiled)
1 cup mixed veggies
Meal 6: 30 Lays Baked chips
1 cup salsa
1 serving slow released protein (BSN Syntha-6)
*Around 6 litres of water a day
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Supplements that have given me the greatest gains, other than the basics, are
the MuscleTech supplements. Especially Aplodan, Leukic and Gakic.
Why Do You Love Bodybuilding?
I love Bodybuilding because it is something money can't buy. Money cannot buy
will, discipline or dedication, which are all needed to build a better body for
yourself. It is also a great way to be different then everybody else, and of
course, I love the pump!
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
So far, I took overall at both shows I've competed in. I am currently Alberta
Provincial Champion. I will get my first attempt at a pro card next year at the
Canadian Nationals. Being only 23 right now, I could say that my plan is to
follow my favourite bodybuilder footsteps... Maybe you guessed by now, Evan
Centopani is my favourite bodybuilder. Like him, my plan would be to get a pro
card at a young age.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
I got two tips: First, be patient and constant. Second, form over weight!!
