How Did You Get Started?
I had been thinking about competing for a little while, however I never really pursued it. Then one day a judge in the gym I was a trainer at approached me and said I had a great physique and should consider competing. At that point I decided to really see what it would take to compete and while evaluating it I got really excited and decided to do it. My 1st show was the 2003 Las Vegas Classic and I didn't place, I was devastated. There were so many things I did not know; how to pose, where to get my suits, how much color to use on stage etc. I was not going to let that stop me. Being a competitive person by nature, I took a year to train and learn about all the things I needed to know to improve. The second time I was better prepared and placed 3rd in the 2004 Las Vegas Classic. I've been training hard and getting better every year since. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Why Do You Love Fitness?
It is a lifestyle that I love. "It's not just fitness. It's Life!" is the slogan of the company I work for and truly defines my beliefs. A good percentage of people in our country suffer from so many health related issues... most of which could be taken care of with proper diet, nutrition and exercise. I believe that fitness is the only way to live a full and abundant life. If the body isn't healthy and happy, nothing else really matters. What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I'm currently involved in fitness modeling and will one day have the privilege to be on the cover of a fitness magazine. I am competing in the 2008 Excalibur at the end of the year. I am also the Personal Training Manager of Equinox's newest fitness club that's opening in Manhattan Beach, CA June 15, 2008. My focus is to hire qualified trainers and to have this club be one of the most successful clubs our company has ever seen. I would also love to eventually finish my children's fitness books and DVD's. What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?
Don't lose yourself in the sport; compete with a reason and purpose. If you diet, work hard and do your best every time you compete; no matter what the outcome, you are a winner! Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?
Adela Garcia (Stud), Jenny Lynn, and Sonia Adcock are my favorite figure competitors. As far as bodybuilders are concerned, of course number one would be Arnold Schwarzenegger, and my mentor and coach in the sport Richard Farley.
