How Did You Get Started?

I got started after a powerlifting injury that required shoulder surgery. Within a year's time I figured I should change my routine and shift gears cutting down on bodyfat.

I had talked to my friend who coaxed me into doing a show, placed fourth in my first contest and was hooked. Within a year's time, I competed 3 times and placed in the top 3 in each one.

My current trainer believes in eating clean 365 days a year, training with giant sets and taking the right supplements and having a small meal every two hours.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Why Do You Love Bodybuilding?

It lets me control the way I look and feel. It relieves me from the stress in daily life and keeps me in shape for my job as a career firefighter. Training for a contest means you are the one in control. Outsiders can give you the advice but it's up to you to actually do it and make it work. It's the only way of completely having control over yourself.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Competing for as long as time allows, try to qualify for the Masters nationals. When competing is over, do it for my general health and well being.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

You can lift and train like an animal and take every supplement known to man. The key is eating the right foods and doing cardio as much is it hurts combined with a bodybuilding routine. Together, this is the combo to make it work.
