How Did You Get Started?

I started training 10 years ago and was an avid reader of fitness magazines. Monica Brant was one of the fitness models I have always admired. It wasn't until I moved to Florida from NY and saw my first fitness competition show when I realized I wanted to compete. So I did extensive research on preparations of competing and entered my first show which was the 2006 Debbie Kruck Classic. I won first place in my class and now I'm addicted!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I train 4 days on weights hitting each body part twice a week and seven days of cardio. Some days I will double up the cardio doing one session in the morning and one in the evening for 30 to 45 minutes. During off season, I increase the weights and do less reps. I focus on increasing more muscle and working on my weak areas to improve for the next show. I do abs in between sets to save time and keep my heart rate up. Cardio I do 3 days a week for 20 to 30 minutes.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Preparing for a show, I eat chicken, fish, egg whites, protein shakes, oatmeal, lots of green veggies, and take flax seed oil. I eat six small meals a day every three hours and drink a ton of water! During off season, I still eat clean but add more nutritious foods in my diet. Occasionally, I will indulge with a glass of wine and my favorite Italian dish Chicken Marsala. Some of my other favorite cheat foods are pizza, my mom's gulumpki's and of course chocolate!

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I love taking Dymalean Whey Protein. It's more satisfying than other whey shakes and it tastes great! I also drink Diet Turbo Tea before my workouts to give me extra energy.

Why Do You Love Fitness?

I love living a healthy lifestyle and being in shape. It makes me feel strong and confident. Competing challenges my body to get into the best shape its ever been. I love being on stage and showing off what I have worked so hard for. Its such an enormous satisfaction for me. Also, competing helps you meet a lot of great people in the fitness industry.

My future fitness plans is to compete on the national level in the NPC next year and one day earn my IFBB pro card status.

My number one tip to others is to believe in yourself and make it fun.
