How Did You Get Started?
I had been lifting weights and working out for many years before deciding to compete in a bodybuilding show. In 2002, I was training at Lee Haney's fitness center and noticed another member getting ready for a competition; I had a brief conversation with him that peaked my interest. Later I was speaking with Lee about bodybuilding and the idea of competing; he suggested I look at a local promoter name Bruce Johnson who promotes the SNBF. After doing some research, I had set a date for my first bodybuilding competition. I had initially told myself I was only going to do one show just to see what it was like. Needless to say, I fell in love with the sport/life style and the transformation from weight lifter to bodybuilder was complete. I had no idea, I would enjoy competing so much and I haven't looked back since. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I try to keep my training simple and effective, as the reps decreases the weight increases. (a) (b) Day Two: Legs *I split legs into two separate workouts quads are trained the first 3-day cycle of the week and hamstrings the next 3-day cycle. Meal #1 Meal #2 Meal #3 Meal #4 Meal #5 Meal #6 Monday and Thursday: I eat a 6th meal at the end of the day: 1 cup oatmeal (precooked) or 1 cup cooked rice, 8 oz sweet potato, 4 oz banana, 1 cup vegetables. To me I'm in competition with myself, in effort to put a better package onstage than I did last time. The focus and dedication it requires has truly made me a better person.
