Our Amateur Bodybuilder of the Week was...
Rob Morton
How Did You Get Started? In 1995 I was in a car accident which left me with 2 cracks in my spine and partial paralysis from the waist down for 10 months. Just prior to that I qualified for the 96' Olympic trials in the 200m. I went from 160lb to 270lbs in 10 months. "Needless to say I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with the way I looked." I started working in a gym and James "Smoke" Daniels saw my potential... and here I am. What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
To acquire sponsor(s) and make them very happy. I'm in the process of opening... well let's say It's gonna be major, in a month or so... I gotta keep it hush hush until then. I do look forward to working within several aspects of the sport. What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
My nutrition schedule changes depending on where I am during the year. I follow a nutrition guide that is designed to enhance my physique based on my blood type, which happens to be A+. I'm a strong believer in having your nutrition administered this way because your body metabolizes food differently either promoting weight gain or weight loss depending on your blood type versus the types of food you consume. Below is an actual nutrition plan that I've used to prepare for a competition in 2004: Upon Waking: 2 Solaray Kelp Capsules Meal 1: (5am - 7am) Meal 2: (2 hours later) Meal 3: (2 hours later) Meal 4: (2 hours later) Meal 5: (2.5 hours later) Meal 6: (2.5 hours later) 1 hour cardio on mini trampoline What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains? I saw greater gains in 2 weeks on Beverly's supplements than I did in 2 months of anything else... And they don't even sponsor me... hmmm, I gotta look into that one... lol! Why do you love Bodybuilding? The tenacity it takes to succeed, Bodybuilding, Scholastic Wrestling and Track & Field are the hardest sports in the world, hands down, there is not another sport where you are required to put forth as much intensity, as these. There is no passing the ball, no running around the ring, no hand-offs it's all you... 100%! What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
To acquire sponsor(s) and make them very happy. I'm in the process of opening... well let's say it's gonna be major, in a month or so... I gotta keep it hush hush until then. I do look forward to working within several aspects of the sport. What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders? Find out who is in your corner, and keep them there, surround yourself with people that will tell you what you need to hear, not feed your ego. Prove all the nay-sayers wrong NATURALLY... Never Quit. In life, let the record show you won, let it show you lost, let it show you had hits, and let it show you struck out, but don't EVER let it show you didn't PLAY... How could you ever explain that? Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders? Dave "The Godfather" Grogan, Yvette Chocolate Thunder" White... oops I mean Lady "Y" (lol), Diane Loftis, Neal Grossman, Gail "Simply Fitness" Williams, Sean "Couples" Sullivan, and Roxanne "The Blade 2" from NYC. Those on the OCB Message board... Yeah Super Reemooooh, The USBF and Muscle Mania Organizations. Man there are so many, but I look with those that to me have integrity, and keep it real at any cost the preceding people are just a few of those that do that.
