How Did You Get Started?

I was living in New Hampshire and started working out in February of 1999 as a way to cope with a serious automobile accident my husband (at the time) was in. I hired a trainer who helped get me started with the basics because I had no idea how to train with free weights.

In May of 2002 I moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic which is where I met my current training partner. I learned so much about training, dieting and competing and had such great results that I decided to enter my first competition in October of 2003 where I placed 2nd. Since then I've competed in two more contests in which I took first place in both. Now I am training for my first national level contest at the Team Universe and National Figure Championships in New York where I hope to earn my IFBB pro card.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

We're always trying something new and preparing for my last two contests. I'd had great results using "Doggcrapp Cycles for Pennies." Currently, I'm using Lyle McDonald's Ultimate Diet 2.0 training and diet system and am very pleased with the results so far.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Currently I'm using the Ultimate Diet 2.0.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The supplements that I'd listed under favorite supplements. I've also had very good results using Beverly Int. Mass Amino and Ultra 40 as well as ADR Pharmacia SpiroJet and Avant Labs SesaThin.

Why Do You Love Fitness?

It's the one thing that I feel I can perfect and have control over. I try my hardest and I get the great results for which I aspire, whereas in other aspects of my life, I feel that I don't get the goals for which I work so hard. Health and fitness and being in the gym never disappoint me or let me down. When I'm in the gym I am always making great results and have been good enough to do well in competition. Fitness is a burning passion inside of me. The results I get fuel my competitive fire and pushes me to work harder and set my goals higher.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My goals are to be an IFBB Pro Figure competitor and win the Figure Olympia. I also want to open my own gym and Chiropractic clinic where I would like to work with athletes, so I can educate and share my passion.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Fitness Competitors?

Be confident and believe in yourself. Anything worthwhile is going to take hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Surround yourself with people who will support and believe in you.

Who Are Your Favorite Fitness Competitors/Bodybuilders?

My favorite Fitness Competitor is Christine Bergeron, because she has the best attitude and personality of any of the IFBB athletes that I've met.
