VITAL STATS

How Did You Get Started?

I started lifting in a weight training class in high school. I took the class because I thought it would better me as a soccer player and maybe even help me out with the ladies. I started to see results not long after and have been hooked on bodybuilding ever since.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I rotate my trainings intensity level over light, moderate, and heavy days. My lighter days I do a lot of super-sets and keep my repetitions around 15. I use a lot of machines and isolation movements on these days. My moderate days I tend to use more free weights and compound movements with reps of 8 to 10. My heavy days consist of basic movements where I work with the maximum amount of poundage I can handle within 6 reps. I use a 4 day split hitting each muscle once a week. Rotating your intensity is a good way to ensure that you properly stimulate your different types of muscle fiber (type 1- slow twitch, type 2 a,b,c- fast twitch).

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I like Isopure's Whey Protein Isolate, Muscletech's Cell-Tech (Creatine), and glutamine.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because it strengthens the body and the mind. Bodybuilding has given me a focused discipline, vision, and a work ethic that will help me to succeed in realizing my dreams.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My future bodybuilding plans are to naturally reach my bodies full potential and one day become a professional bodybuilder.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

I am a personal trainer certified through ISSA. The information I learn through the certification about how muscle fibers work and how to train each type has taken my training to a new level. Since my certification, I have consistently gained 10 lbs of lean mass drug-free each year.

I recommend to anyone interested in learning the scientific approach to training to take ISSA's CFT coarse. It has made me a better bodybuilder and would do the same for you.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Arnold, Milos Sarcev, Frank Zane, Lee Priest, Stan McQuay
